Championing Ecological Research and Conservation in Uganda

The Applied Ecological Research Centre (AERC) is at the forefront of efforts to promote ecological research and conservation across Uganda. By studying biodiversity, habitats, and environmental changes, AERC provides practical solutions to address pressing challenges like deforestation, wildlife loss, and ecosystem degradation. Our goal is to bridge science with real-world action to protect Uganda’s natural heritage.

AERC works hand-in-hand with communities, schools, and partners to ensure conservation is inclusive and impactful. Through workshops, citizen science, and educational outreach, we empower people to actively care for their environment. This community-based approach helps create sustainable practices that benefit both nature and livelihoods.

As we continue to restore habitats, monitor wildlife, and share knowledge, AERC remains committed to leading positive change. By combining research, education, and community involvement, we are building a future where both people and ecosystems thrive in harmony.
